Getting to Heaven edited LOGO

What does the Bible say about Salvation?

My friend, I am asking you the most important question of life. The question is this: Do you know 100% sure that your sins are forgiven and that you have God’s gift of eternal life? Your joy or sorrow for all of eternity depends upon your answer!

The Bible says that there is only one way to Heaven. Jesus said,
I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me" (
John 14:6).
No one else can help you, and you can not do it through your own self efforts.
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9).

There are
three truths that you must understand, and then one decision you must make:

1. The Problem of Sin
"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23); "Sin is the transgression of God’s law" (1 John 3:4).

2. The Penalty of Sin
"For the wages of sin is death..." (Romans 6:23a); "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death" (Revelation 21:8).

3. The Payment of Sin
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8).
Since we are sinners, we cannot pay for our own sin. There had to be a perfect sacrifice to satisfy God’s justice on our sin; Christ met those demands as the perfect Son of God. "Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye are healed." (1 Peter 2:24)
The Lord Jesus shed His blood for us on the cross. "And the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin" (1 John 1:7b). After three days in the grave, He arose from the dead and ascended back toHeaven as the resurrected Saviour! "He arose the third day according to the Scriptures"
(1 Corinthians 15:3b).

With these truths in mind, a vital decision of Faith/Repentance must be made. You must turn from your sin and self- righteousness, and place your complete trust or dependence on the finished work of Christ on the cross. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thy heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation....For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
(Romans 10:9,10,13)

If you have never transferred your dependence to Jesus only to save you from sin and Hell, then you are presently under the sentence of judgment. "He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because He hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God" (John 3:18)

My friend, if you will believe (i.e., transfer your dependence only to Jesus Christ to save you from sin and Hell), He will forgive your sins, credit His righteousness to your account and give you eternal life. You can express this decision by sincerely praying the following:

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I know I deserve the judgment of Hell. But I also know that you paid my judgment when You died for me and rose again. The best I know how, I’m asking you to save me from sin and Hell. I am placing my dependence on you to forgive my sins, credit Your righteousness to my account, and give me eternal life. Thank you for saving me. Amen.

If you sincerely believed in Christ, He just forgave your sins and gave you eternal life. You now are one of His own and have
His peace! "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." (Romans 5:1)
